SL-9900 Slit Lamp : Precision Observation with Haag-Streit LED Lighting and Advanced Options
The SL-9900 serve as integrated observation tool in clinical practice. These Haag-Streit type LED light slit lamps, tiltable from the top, are specifically designed for detailed observation of the eye and its components, encompassing the anterior segment (cornea, anterior chamber, and crystalline) to the posterior segment (vitreous and retina) using specialized magnifying glasses. This instrument seamlessly integrate into NIDEK consultation units for daily use.
This biomicroscope feature a Galilean optical system with convergent binoculars at a 6° angle. Visual stability is ensured without temperature elevation, thanks to the LED light source. Offering 5 different magnification levels (6x, 10x, 16x, 25x, and 40x), enabling seamless and uninterrupted observation.
The slit lamp provides various filters tailored for different analysis types, including a yellow filter for fluorescein exams and an anerythristic filter for vessel visualization. Accessing these filters is user-friendly. Additionally, a digitalization set for images and videos can be integrated into the slit lamp, connected to dedicated software compatible with DICOM and Phoenix. The camera, equipped with a 2-megapixel CCD sensor, captures high-resolution images (photo resolution 1624 x 1232 and video resolution 1280×960) for storage, transfer to EMR software, patient follow-up, and training purposes.
For expanded clinical applications, numerous accessories can be added to the slit lamp, such as an applanation tonometer for measuring intraocular pressure, and an external light system with adjustable mood lighting to illuminate the eye uniformly for easier photography.
Accessories supplied with the SL-9900 include an optical splitter, fitting at the optical unit level to add a co-observation tube for another observer (training), and a tilting block (20°) added at the eyepiece level, allowing the user to position higher for an enhanced view.
