Memmert SN110 – Hot air steriliser for reliable sterilisation in the laboratory
The Memmert SN110 is a hot air steriliser specially designed to meet the strict requirements of laboratory, research and medical environments. This model ensures complete sterilisation of instruments, materials and equipment while complying with current standards and regulations for medical devices. With a chamber volume of 108 litres and a high-quality stainless steel design, it combines generous capacity with exceptional durability. Hot air sterilisation offers the advantage of destroying microorganisms evenly and efficiently, even on hard-to-reach surfaces.
One of the key features of this steriliser is the SetpointWait function. This technology ensures that the sterilisation cycle only starts when the setpoint temperature is reached throughout the chamber, and not just at a single measuring point. This ensures uniform and reliable sterilisation, regardless of the type or volume of load placed in the appliance. Combined with the option of using freely positionable Pt100 probes, it ensures precise and reproducible cycle control.
The Memmert SN110 features the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY control system, a multifunctional digital controller with PID microprocessor. Its high-definition TFT colour display allows clear and intuitive reading of parameters and precise adjustment of temperature, time and air flap position. The adjustable temperature range extends from +20°C to +250°C, with remarkable accuracy down to 0.1°C below 100°C. This control of parameters ensures optimal sterilisation conditions for a variety of applications.
Air circulation is based on natural convection, combined with an electronically regulated supply of preheated fresh air. This optimised ventilation management promotes even heat distribution throughout the chamber. The user also benefits from a ventilation system with an adjustable exhaust connection, allowing operation to be adapted to specific requirements.
The SN110 also stands out thanks to its integrated safety features. It has an adjustable electronic temperature limiter and a mechanical limiter, which switches off the heating approximately 20°C above the nominal temperature if this is exceeded. A self-diagnostic system continuously monitors and analyses any faults. In addition, the current settings and programmes are saved even in the event of a power failure.
The inner chamber, made of electropolished stainless steel, is designed to be easy to clean and resistant to wear. The heating is integrated into the walls on four sides, ensuring uniform heat distribution. The fully insulated stainless steel door with a two-point compression closure guarantees excellent thermal insulation. The appliance can accommodate up to five stainless steel shelves.
Thanks to the AtmoCONTROL software, the user can program, manage and analyse sterilisation cycles via an Ethernet or USB interface. This solution allows for complete traceability of operations and optimal data organisation.
In terms of installation, the Memmert SN110 requires minimal space around the appliance to ensure proper ventilation and prevent overheating. Its robust construction in stainless steel and zinc-plated steel, combined with a net weight of approximately 74 kg, makes it a stable and durable piece of equipment. The power consumption is suitable for 230 V or 115 V power supplies, depending on the configuration selected.
