Memmert SN160: high-performance sterilisation for demanding environments
The Memmert SN160 hot air steriliser is a device designed to provide reliable sterilisation in accordance with the strict standards of medical and laboratory environments. With an internal capacity of 161 litres, it can process a large volume of instruments while ensuring uniform temperature distribution thanks to its integrated heating system on all four walls of the chamber. This system guarantees the thermal homogeneity essential for the success of any hot air sterilisation process.
Thanks to the unique Setpoint Wait function, the SN160 ensures that the sterilisation time only starts once the programmed temperature has been reached throughout the chamber. This function can also be combined with freely positionable Pt100 sensors for enhanced accuracy. This mechanism contributes to rigorous process control, avoiding uncertainties associated with temperature variations and ensuring effective sterilisation with every cycle.
Safety and precision: essential features of the Memmert SN160
Safety is at the heart of the SN160's design. It incorporates an electronic overheating control system and a mechanical temperature limiter in accordance with DIN 12880. If the set temperature is exceeded, the device automatically interrupts the heating, thus limiting any risk to users and samples. The integrated self-diagnostic system allows immediate analysis of any technical faults, further enhancing the overall reliability of the equipment.
The ControlCOCKPIT digital control system with colour TFT display makes it easy to navigate between the various parameters: temperature, sterilisation time, air flap settings, time zones and summer/winter time changeover. The digital programmer allows cycles ranging from 1 minute to 99 days to be set, offering great flexibility of use for a variety of protocols. In the event of a power failure, the current programme is automatically saved, ensuring continuity of treatment as soon as the power supply is restored.
A steriliser designed to last in professional environments
The SN160 is made from robust materials, including an easy-to-clean stainless steel chamber and a textured outer casing. It can accommodate up to eight electropolished racks, with a maximum load of 210 kg. Fresh air is preheated before entering the chamber by means of an electronically adjustable flap, optimising the thermal efficiency of the device.
The unit is designed to operate in an ambient temperature range of +5°C to +40°C, at a maximum altitude of 2,000 metres. Its natural convection operation, without a fan, ensures quiet and economical operation, suitable for sensitive environments such as pharmaceutical laboratories or hospital units. Connectivity via the AtmoCONTROL software, available on a USB stick, allows for in-depth management and analysis of operating data.
