Memmert SN260: controlled thermal sterilisation for demanding applications
The Memmert SN260 hot air steriliser has been specially designed to replace conventional disinfection processes by offering a reliable sterilisation solution that complies with current medical standards. Thanks to its digital PID control system combined with a high-definition colour TFT display, it ensures precise temperature control from +20 °C to +250 °C, with optimised thermal stability. The distinctive feature of the SN260 is its Setpoint Wait function, which ensures that the sterilisation process only starts when the desired temperature is reached throughout the chamber, including with freely positionable Pt100 probes, ensuring uniform and reproducible sterilisation in every cycle.
This model incorporates a natural convection system enhanced by the supply of preheated fresh air via an electronic valve, ensuring even heat distribution throughout the chamber. The chamber, with a net volume of 256 litres, is made entirely of stainless steel, with heating elements protected on four sides for easy cleaning and excellent durability. Temperature control is ensured by a dual system: adjustable electronic monitoring and an independent mechanical limiter, which guarantees that heating is stopped if the nominal temperature is exceeded. In addition, an integrated self-diagnostic system allows rapid analysis of any malfunctions.
A high-performance solution for laboratory sterilisation
The SN260 offers an intuitive user interface via the ControlCOCKPIT SingleDISPLAY, with adjustable parameters including temperature, air valve position, programme time and time zones. A digital timer allows the cycle time to be programmed from 1 minute to 99 days, while the integrated memory automatically saves the programme in the event of a power failure. This device meets the most stringent safety standards, in particular thanks to its protection class 1 according to DIN 12880.
Designed for intensive use, the steriliser can accommodate up to 9 racks with a total load capacity of 300 kg. Each level can hold up to 20 kg of equipment. Its stainless steel door, equipped with a two-point compression locking system, ensures effective thermal insulation. For documentation and data analysis, AtmoCONTROL software is available (via USB stick or download), facilitating logbook management via the Ethernet interface.
