The Memmert SN260plus hot air steriliser has been designed to meet the strict requirements of the medical sector and research laboratories. Unlike simple disinfection, the sterilisation carried out by this appliance eliminates all microorganisms, thus ensuring maximum safety for the instruments being treated. It complies with safety standards such as DIN 12880 and incorporates integrated safety features such as mechanical and electronic temperature limiters, an AutoSAFETY system with overheating monitoring and a self-diagnostic system to detect any technical faults.
With a useful volume of 256 litres, the SN260plus can process a large number of items in a single operation. Its fully stainless steel interior chamber is easy to clean and corrosion-resistant, ensuring impeccable hygiene. The two-point door lock guarantees a hermetic seal, while thermal insulation minimises energy loss and maintains a stable and uniform sterilisation temperature.
Thermal performance and precise temperature control with the SN260plus
One of the key features of the SN260plus is its temperature control technology. Equipped with two Pt100 sensors in a 4-wire circuit, the unit offers secure redundancy: if one sensor fails, the other automatically takes over. Thanks to the multifunctional ControlCOCKPIT digital PID controller with dual colour TFT display, the user can precisely manage all temperature, time and ventilation parameters.
The SetpointWait function, which is essential for process reliability, ensures that sterilisation is only triggered when the programmed temperature is reached at all measuring points. The HeatBALANCE system adjusts the distribution of heat output between the top and bottom of the chamber, ensuring perfect thermal uniformity. The process can be programmed using the AtmoCONTROL software, with programmes transferred via USB port or Ethernet interface.
Ergonomics and traceability for optimised sterilisation
The SN260plus is designed for intuitive use and optimal traceability. The user can calibrate the device to three specific temperatures and adjust parameters such as the air flap position, programme duration and time zones. In the event of a power failure, the current programme is saved and can be resumed.
Its natural convection ventilation, combined with a supply of preheated fresh air, ensures efficient and rapid drying of instruments. Thanks to its practical design, the device offers a high loading capacity with nine possible levels and a total weight capacity of up to 300 kg. Each level can hold up to 20 kg of material.
