Memmert SN450 steriliser: a high-performance solution for reliable sterilisation in the laboratory
The Memmert SN450 steriliser is specifically designed to replace disinfection processes with complete sterilisation in accordance with current standards for medical devices. Operating with hot air, it guarantees uniform and controlled sterilisation thanks to SetpointWAIT technology, which ensures that the sterilisation cycle only starts when the programmed temperature is reached at all measuring points. This provides optimum safety and proven efficiency in the destruction of microorganisms. Thanks to this feature, users benefit from a high level of reliability, regardless of the type of sample or instrument being processed.
The SN450 incorporates a DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor, installed in a 4-wire circuit for maximum accuracy. Its temperature range from +20°C to +250°C allows for great flexibility of use according to laboratory requirements. Its natural convection system ensures uniform heat distribution, reinforced by a stainless steel housing with deep ribs and protected heating on all four sides.
Ergonomic design and intelligent features
The SN450 steriliser's user interface is based on the ControlCOCKPIT system with a high-definition TFT colour display. This interface allows easy and intuitive programming of sterilisation parameters, including temperature, duration, air flap position, and adjustment according to time zone or summer/winter time change. A digital timer programmable from 1 minute to 99 days completes the system's user-friendly design. In the event of a power failure, the current programme is saved, ensuring operational continuity without loss of data.
The safety system is reinforced by an electronic over-temperature monitoring device, a mechanical thermal limiter, a self-diagnostic system and protection in accordance with the standard DIN 12880.
Robust construction and generous capacity
The Memmert SN450 is designed to offer high processing capacity, with an internal volume of 449 litres and the option of accommodating up to eight stainless steel shelves, each supporting up to 30 kg. The entire chamber can hold up to 300 kg of load. The external dimensions of the unit are 1224 x 1247 x 784 mm, and it is mounted on lockable castors for safe movement. The entire structure, with its textured stainless steel cladding and galvanised steel back, offers exceptional durability even in demanding environments.
The SN450 is powered by 400 V or 3x 230 V (without neutral), with an electrical load of approximately 5800 W. It is designed to operate in ambient conditions ranging from +5 °C to +40 °C and up to an altitude of 2000 metres, with a maximum humidity of 80% without condensation.
