The Memmert SN450plus steriliser is designed to meet the most stringent requirements of medical and pharmaceutical laboratories. Unlike simple disinfection, hot air sterilisation guarantees the complete elimination of pathogens, ensuring impeccable hygiene for instruments. This model, with a capacity of 449 litres, incorporates sophisticated temperature control technology for rapid and uniform temperature rise. Thanks to natural convection combined with the intake of preheated fresh air, stable conditions inside the chamber are optimised without compromising energy efficiency. The SN450plus can sterilise a large load — up to 300 kg — while maintaining strict control over the process.
Temperature control technology and integrated safety
The SN450plus is equipped with two Pt100 temperature sensors in a 4-wire circuit, ensuring permanent cross-checking. If one of the sensors fails, the other takes over immediately, guaranteeing risk-free operational continuity. One of the key features of this model is the SetpointWAIT function, which only starts the sterilisation cycle when the target temperature is reached at all measuring points. This allows each cycle to be validated as compliant, which is essential in regulated environments. The AutoSAFETY safety system automatically detects temperature deviations and switches off the heating if necessary. The SN450plus also features a self-diagnostic system that facilitates fault analysis and optimises maintenance.
Robust and intuitive design for everyday use
Designed to last, the SN450plus steriliser is made of textured stainless steel, with an easy-to-clean, electropolished interior chamber reinforced with embossed ribs for better air circulation. Heating is distributed across all four sides for uniform diffusion. Its stainless steel door is equipped with a two-point compression lock to ensure a hermetic seal. The device stands on lockable castors for easy installation or movement in hospital or laboratory environments. The TwinDISPLAY controller, consisting of two high-definition colour TFT screens, allows for quick and easy programming. The AtmoCONTROL software allows programmes to be created and transferred via USB or Ethernet. With an operating temperature of up to 250°C and precise control, the SN450plus ensures reliable and reproducible sterilisation under all conditions.
