Solvotrode easyClean – Specialised pH electrode for non-aqueous solvents and demanding applications
The Solvotrode easyClean from Metrohm is a highly specialised pH electrode designed to deliver accurate and stable measurement performance in non-aqueous media, particularly in organic solvents where conventional electrodes often fail to provide reproducible results.
It is equipped with a 1.2 m fixed cable, which makes it mechanically robust and easy to integrate into automated measuring systems or laboratory setups.
This electrode uses a PTFE sintered diaphragm and a replaceable sheath to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a longer service life. The electrolyte used is a solution of tetraethylammonium bromide (TEABr) in ethylene glycol, a solution optimised for non-polar organic media, allowing constant and reliable ion diffusion.
The electrode body is designed to withstand aggressive environments, while the easyClean technology allows for quick and easy cleaning, especially after measurements in viscous or highly adhesive solvents.
Thanks to its interface with Metrohm's OMNIS systems, the Solvotrode easyClean can be fully integrated into automated titration or multiparameter measurement processes, offering a high degree of flexibility and control. It is particularly recommended for the pharmaceutical, chemical, and petrochemical industries, as well as for research laboratories requiring precise measurements in complex matrices.
Its modular design also allows wear parts to be replaced, reducing maintenance costs. The Solvotrode easyClean is the solution of choice for reliable pH measurements in non-aqueous media, combining durability, ease of maintenance and extensive compatibility with modern analysis systems.
