The Multiskan Sky is a new generation UV/Vis microplate spectrophotometer designed to deliver an exceptional user experience and unrivalled photometric performance. Designed for life science research laboratories, this versatile instrument is ideal for DNA, RNA and protein analysis, as well as a wide range of photometric applications. With its intuitive touchscreen interface and multiple connectivity options, it is perfectly suited to multi-user environments in academia, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.

The Multiskan Sky stands out thanks to its monochromator optical system, which allows free selection of wavelengths between 200 nm and 1,000 nm. This technology guarantees exceptional sensitivity and spectral resolution, which are essential for accurate and reliable analyses. Compatible with 96- and 384-well microplates, with or without lids, as well as cuvettes, this device offers maximum flexibility for various types of assays. It is also capable of reading μDrop™ plates, ideal for analysing microvolumes of DNA, RNA and proteins.

One of the main strengths of the Multiskan Sky is its speed of execution. A complete spectrum of a well is obtained in less than 10 seconds, while a complete 96-well microplate is read in just 6 seconds. This efficiency saves valuable time in laboratories where productivity is essential. In addition, the device incorporates shaking and incubation systems, which are essential for temperature-critical assays or cell-based tests.

The Multiskan Sky is available in three configurations to meet specific user needs. Touchscreen models can be used standalone or in conjunction with Thermo Scientific SkanIt™ PC software. These models also offer unique access to Thermo Fisher Connect cloud-based tools, making it easy to store, view, share and manage photometric data remotely and securely. For users who prefer full management via a PC, a dedicated configuration is also available.

The Multiskan Sky's touchscreen interface is designed for intuitive use, with ready-to-use protocols for nucleic acid and protein quantification. The powerful and intuitive SkanIt™ software makes it easy to configure demanding assays and analyse data efficiently.
