The SpeedVac SPD120P2 is a medium-capacity vacuum concentrator designed to meet the needs of laboratories for concentrating biological samples and complex solvents. Compatible with a wide range of solvents such as methanol, acetonitrile with 0.1% TFA, and water, this model is particularly suitable for applications such as DNA/RNA preparations, HPLC samples, and lipid extracts.
The SPD120P2 model stands out thanks to its comprehensive kit, which includes a RVT5105 refrigerated vapour trap at -105°C, a VLP120 vacuum pump, an RH40-11 rotor, an SCT120 chemical trap, a DC120A neutralisation cartridge and a CryoCool SCC1 thermal transfer solution. The system not only enables controlled evaporation but also the efficient freeze-drying of heat-sensitive samples without compromising their quality.
Its clear LED user interface provides precise control of temperature (from ambient to 80°C in 5°C increments), heating time and operating time (up to 9 hours 59 minutes or continuous mode). Three modifiable programmes can be configured to suit specific user requirements. The system also offers preheating, manual or automatic start options and a lid lock with indicator light to enhance laboratory safety.
