Intelligent, long-term cardiac monitoring – SpiderFlash™, the solution for high-precision ECG monitoring
SpiderFlash™, developed by Sorin (now MicroPort CRM), is a state-of-the-art medical device for prolonged monitoring of cardiac activity in patients with or suspected of having arrhythmias. Designed to offer a non-invasive alternative to implantable recorders, it combines the accuracy of a Holter ECG with the flexibility of a smart event recorder.
This device stands out for its ability to record up to 40 days of RR intervals using a lithium battery, while allowing continuous recording of the first 24 hours on two leads. It offers several trigger modes: automatic, programmed at regular intervals, or activated by the patient. This versatility allows events to be captured even when symptoms go unnoticed or are forgotten by the patient.
The SpiderFlash™ is equipped with an automatic arrhythmia detection system, including atrial fibrillation, pauses, bradycardia, tachycardia, and ventricular and supraventricular beats. It can record up to 22 minutes and 30 seconds per event, with exceptional ECG signal quality thanks to a sampling rate of 256 Hz.
The device is compatible with HookUp 3™ and EventScope 3™ software, which enable quick setup, real-time viewing, in-depth data analysis and customised reporting. These tools also facilitate integration into hospital systems via the HL7 protocol.
Compact (74 x 50 x 19.5 mm) and lightweight (50 g without battery), the SpiderFlash™ is designed for comfortable wear, often around the neck, and fits into the patient's daily life without discomfort. It uses a dedicated SD card for secure data storage and operates on a AAA battery (alkaline or lithium).
The SpiderFlash™ is a reliable, accurate and ergonomic diagnostic tool, ideal for prolonged cardiac monitoring in an outpatient setting.
