The Tecan Sunrise absorbance reader is a compact and reliable instrument designed to measure the optical absorbance of liquids in 96-well microplates. Intended for professional use, it offers accurate and fast measurement performance thanks to its interchangeable filters and modular options, including temperature control and barcode reader. Compatible with Magellan and XFluor4 software, it enables qualitative and quantitative ELISA analyses in diagnostic or research environments. Robust, fast and easy to integrate into automated systems, it is the benchmark choice for demanding laboratories.

Description

Tecan Sunrise microplate absorbance reader: unrivalled optical precision for your ELISA analyses

Tecan's Sunrise is much more than just a microplate reader: it is a concentrate of optical technology designed to meet the rigorous needs of biomedical research and in vitro diagnostics laboratories. With its modular architecture and proven performance, this instrument has become the benchmark for absorbance analysis on 96-well microplates, particularly ELISA tests.

The Sunrise impresses with its speed right from the start. Capable of reading a complete plate in approximately six seconds (in fast read mode and single wavelength), it saves considerable time without compromising the reliability of the results. Its fully automated structure, combined with precise microprocessor control, guarantees optimal reproducibility, measurement after measurement. Optical quality is ensured by a 20 W halogen lamp and narrow-band filters offering accuracy of ±2 nm over a range from 340 to 750 nm.

The Sunrise is available in several configurations: 4 fixed filters, 6 filters, or a gradient filter allowing free selection of the wavelength in 1 nm steps between 400 and 700 nm. This flexibility makes it particularly suitable for the changing needs of laboratories. In addition, a Peltier temperature control option maintains constant experimental conditions up to 42°C, enhancing the reliability of enzyme kinetics.

Designed for seamless integration into automation chains, the Sunrise is compatible with Tecan robotic systems and is fully controlled via an RS232 serial port, using dedicated software such as Magellan (complete analysis of results, including titrations and standard curves) or XFluor4 (data transfer to Excel). This remote control offers precise control while allowing operation without manual intervention.

The compact and sleek design of the Sunrise makes it easy to install in any bench space. Its robust interface ensures compatibility with a wide variety of microplates (flat, round or V-well), while the centred or multipoint reading options meet the most demanding precision requirements, even for liquids with a high meniscus.

A trusted instrument, the Sunrise is renowned for its remarkable stability: after only 15 minutes of preheating, it offers stability of ±0.001 OD, ensuring consistency for critical analyses. It is intended exclusively for trained professional users, guaranteeing safe and proper use.

The Tecan Sunrise is the instrument of choice for any laboratory seeking to combine performance, reliability and scalability. Whether for routine analyses or more complex developments, it delivers consistent and accurate results.
