Syringe Pump AP 12: Reliability and Precision for Secure Infusion Administration
The Ascor Syringe Pump AP 12 is an essential device for medication administration in hospital settings, particularly in intensive care, anesthesia, and critical care units. It enables precise infusion tailored to the patient's needs, with a flow rate range of 0.1 to 500 ml/h depending on the syringe size. Designed for high reliability, it features a real-time monitoring system that mitigates risks associated with infusion administration.
This pump is compatible with a wide range of syringes from renowned manufacturers such as B.BRAUN, BD, MONOJECT, CODAN, TERUMO, IVAC, INJECTOMAT, and PENTAFERTE, ensuring great flexibility in medical environments. Its automatic syringe size detection system simplifies setup and minimizes parameterization errors.
The AP 12 incorporates a safety system with visual and audible alarms covering critical aspects such as syringe absence or misplacement, end of infusion, occlusions, battery failure, and internal malfunctions. It also offers an automatic bolus reduction function after occlusion clearance, enhancing patient safety and comfort.
The device operates on 230 V AC power but can also be used with its rechargeable NiCd internal battery, providing 24 hours of autonomy at a flow rate of 5 ml/h. This autonomy makes it ideal for prolonged use, including during transfers or power outages.
Equipped with four operating modes, the AP 12 allows parameter adjustments based on clinical needs: flow rate only, flow rate and volume, flow rate and time, or volume to infuse. The flow rate precision (±2%) ensures accurate medication administration, compliant with the EN 60601-2-24 standard.
Its intuitive interface and software enable quick and easy configuration, even in emergency situations. The ability to select a drug name from an internal library aids recognition and reduces programming errors.
With a weight of 3.1 kg and dimensions of 320 x 180 x 140 mm, the pump remains compact and easily transportable. Its robust casing and compliance with medical standards make it a reliable device suitable for the most demanding hospital environments.
