Infinity M300: Wireless Telemetry for Real-Time Patient Monitoring
In modern hospital environments, continuous and uninterrupted patient monitoring is crucial. The Infinity M300 from Philips meets this need by offering an innovative and high-performance wireless telemetry solution. Designed for reliable ECG and SpO2 monitoring, this compact and lightweight device is worn directly by the patient, ensuring freedom of movement while continuously transmitting physiological data to the Infinity CentralStation monitoring system.
The Infinity M300 is designed for comfortable patient wear. Its compact size (142.2 x 78.7 x 30.5 mm) and lightweight build (295 g with battery) allow for ease of movement. To meet hospital environment requirements, the device is protected against water infiltration (IPX7), meaning it can be temporarily submerged without damage. It can even be used in the shower with a dedicated disposable or reusable pouch.
The Infinity M300 provides comprehensive ECG monitoring, detecting heart rhythms, ST-segment anomalies, and arrhythmias. It also features SpO2 functionality to measure oxygen saturation and pulse via a dedicated sensor. A notable feature of this device is TruST technology, which allows 12-lead ECG monitoring using a reduced number of electrodes, improving patient comfort without compromising diagnostic accuracy.
The Infinity M300 communicates via the hospital’s Wi-Fi network (802.11), ensuring a stable connection to the Infinity CentralStation Wide. This system can track up to 32 devices simultaneously, allowing caregivers to monitor multiple patients at once. The device is equipped with a color screen and a six-button keyboard for quick access to information and settings.
The Infinity M300 is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, offering an autonomy of 22 to 26 hours in ECG-only mode and 18 to 20 hours when continuously measuring SpO2. When not worn by the patient, it can be placed on a bedside charger for slow charging or on the Infinity M300 central charger, which enables fast recharging and efficient battery management in hospital settings.
The Infinity M300 user interface is designed to facilitate patient care. From the Infinity CentralStation (ICS), clinicians can perform various actions:
- Patient admission and discharge
- Alarm and alert history management
- Real-time access to ECG and SpO2 data
- Detailed record review
The ICS serves as the primary display and alarm terminal, ensuring centralized and efficient management of patients equipped with the Infinity M300.
With its design, secure data transmission, and extended autonomy, the Philips Infinity M300 is a top-tier wireless monitoring solution, meeting the needs of healthcare facilities striving to enhance patient care quality and mobility.
