testo 465: Non-Contact Optical Measurement of Rotational Speed in Medical Environments
The testo 465 is an optical tachometer designed to take accurate, non-contact rotational speed measurements with ease of use suitable for medical, biomedical and hospital environments. It is particularly suitable for checking the proper functioning of rotating components such as fans in air treatment systems or devices in medical laboratories. Thanks to its ergonomic design, it can be easily operated with one hand, making it practical for quick measurements, even in confined spaces or on hard-to-reach installations.
The testo 465 works by using reflective strips positioned on the surface of the element to be measured. Simply point the device's light beam at the strip to obtain an accurate measurement without physical contact with the device in operation. This method reduces the risk of contamination or disruption to the system, a crucial advantage in environments where hygiene and precision are paramount.
The maximum measuring distance can be up to 600 mm, allowing you to work at a safe distance from the equipment. The tachometer automatically records the average value, the extremes (min and max), and the last measurement taken, which facilitates the analysis of results during maintenance or device qualification checks. Its 5-digit LCD screen allows for clear and quick reading of the measured values.
The instrument comes with a sturdy carrying case, batteries, manual and reflective strips. The device runs on two AA batteries, providing approximately 40 hours of battery life. Lightweight and compact, the testo 465 weighs only 145 g and measures 144 × 58 × 20 mm, making it easy to transport within a medical facility or between multiple sites.
The testo 465 meets the needs of medical professionals who want to ensure rigorous, contact-free monitoring of the rotational speed of technical devices.
