Precise Medical Temperature Monitoring with the Extech TH30 Data Logger
In the medical field, temperature monitoring is a critical safety and quality issue, whether for storing medicines, preserving vaccines or transporting biological samples. The Extech TH30 meets these requirements thanks to its ability to simultaneously record the ambient temperature (T1) and the temperature measured by an external probe (T2), supplied with the device (TP830). It can store up to 24,000 readings for each channel, with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C over a range of -30 to 70 °C, meeting the rigorous standards of the medical sector.
The device has a 5-digit LCD display, a battery indicator and a smart LED system (red and green) for easy instant reading of the thermal status. Thanks to its manual start function, the user can start recording at any time and stop it at will, or let the device fill its memory automatically. Eight locations can be marked in the recording session using a dedicated button, which is useful for identifying critical events or phases.
The TH30 offers customisable configuration: language (6 available), sampling interval, start and alarm delays, high/low thresholds, and secure password access. Once recording is complete, simply connect it to a PC to generate an automated PDF report or Excel spreadsheet with graphs. This format makes it easy to integrate data into quality protocols or document management systems.
Powered by two CR2032 batteries, it offers up to 3 months of battery life and can be used with its USB cap, which also serves as a stand. Compact, lightweight and efficient, the TH30 is the go-to tool for any medical facility looking to guarantee the reliability of its cold chain or ambient conditions.
