RE 120: Precision Heating and Cooling Thermostat for Reliable Temperature Control
The RE 120, part of the Eco line Staredition, represents a high-performance solution for applications demanding precise temperature regulation. Designed to cater to a wide range of laboratory and industrial needs, this thermostat operates within a broad temperature range of -30°C to 150°C, offering dependable control for heating and cooling tasks. The RE 120 combines robust technological capabilities with energy-efficient operation, ensuring temperature stability of up to ±0.04 K. Central to the RE 120’s performance is its 1.5 kW heating capacity and integrated automatic cooling control, which intelligently adjusts the cooling capacity to match the specific requirements of each application. It includes overtemperature protection with automatic cut-out, compliant with safety class III (FL) standards for use with flammable liquids, and an audible alarm to alert users in the event of a malfunction. Additionally, electronic low-level protection is integrated into the pump without the need for a float, preventing operational disruptions due to low liquid levels.
The RE 120 thermostat is also adaptable to various setups, thanks to its screw clamp accessory that allows secure attachment to baths with wall thicknesses of up to 25 mm. Compatible with a range of LAUDA Ecoline Staredition baths, the RE 120 can be paired with transparent polycarbonate baths for temperatures up to 100°C or stainless steel baths for higher temperatures. The stainless steel baths are available in cost-effective and high-quality versions, the latter featuring special insulation for temperatures up to 200°C and built-in drain taps for easy maintenance.
The device’s versatility extends to external temperature control applications, such as regulating the temperature of measuring instruments, separation processes, bioreactors, and semiconductor production processes. The cooling coil, included as a standard feature, allows immediate connection to cooling water or external cooling sources, further enhancing its adaptability for different environments.
