Thoracic compressor RESQPUMP ACD-CPR - Fair

Brand: Zoll

The Zoll RESQPUMP ACD-CPR thoracic compressor is an essential tool for high-efficiency cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). With an active approach to compression and decompression, it enhances the chances of success in emergency situations.

Description

Zoll RESQPUMP ACD-CPR Chest Compressor: Advanced Assistance for Cardiac Resuscitation.

The Zoll RESQPUMP ACD-CPR chest compressor is a crucial innovation in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Designed for critical emergency situations, this device enables rescuers to perform CPR with an active compression and decompression (ACD-CPR) approach, which differs from standard CPR. During ACD-CPR, chest expansion (decompression) is actively performed after each compression, providing more efficient blood circulation compared to standard CPR.

The design of the RESQPUMP allows the operator to use the same body position and compression technique as in standard CPR. Active chest decompression is achieved when the rescuer maintains a firm grip on the RESQPUMP, leans at the waist, and lifts their own weight upward after each compression. The suction cup adheres to the chest and transfers the lifting force to the mid-chest. The compression force is transferred to the chest in the same way as in standard CPR, through the device's piston.

The handle of the RESQPUMP integrates a battery-powered metronome, which guides the rescuer on the appropriate rate of compression and decompression. The metronome emits signals in two tones of equal duration, a low tone and a high tone, to guide the rescuer in compression and decompression at the appropriate rate and for an equal duration (50% duty cycle).

The Zoll RESQPUMP ACD-CPR Chest Compressor represents a significant advancement in CPR techniques, improving the efficiency of chest compressions and thereby contributing to increased chances of survival in medical emergency situations.
