Titronic Universal – Excellence in manual titration and precision dosing
The Titronic Universal from Xylem SI Analytics is a benchmark instrument for all laboratories seeking the ideal compromise between ease of use and technological performance. Designed to adapt to both manual protocols and automated systems, this titrator is much more than a simple burette device: it is a true precision dosing control centre. Equipped with a motorised burette, it ensures efficient, repeatable and documented titrations under optimal conditions of safety and reliability.
One of the major advantages of the Titronic Universal is its ability to dose volumes ranging from 0.01 ml to 999.99 ml with extreme precision. The user can adjust the dosing speed, program increment volumes and set waiting times between each step, offering great flexibility for progressive dosing. During manual titration, it is even possible to automatically pre-dose a quantity of reagent before each titration, thus optimising the analysis time.
In terms of connectivity, the Titronic Universal has two RS-232-C interfaces allowing connection to both a printer (for traceability) and a computer (for total process control). This dual connectivity also opens the door to more complex applications with the possibility of connecting up to 16 burettes in a chain, each unit operating independently thanks to a dedicated address. This architecture allows sophisticated systems to be created without additional cabling.
Designed to last, the Titronic Universal is manufactured from high-quality materials that are resistant to even the most aggressive chemicals. The dosing cylinders are made of DURAN® borosilicate glass with UV protection, while the valves are made of PTFE/ETFE. The device operates reliably even in demanding laboratory environments thanks to its robust construction and membrane-protected keypad.
The device can be used in stand-alone mode with its integrated keypad or in combination with a hand-held remote control. The addition of the TM 96 magnetic stirrer (optional) further enhances the functionality of the device by enabling efficient and continuous stirring of the solutions being analysed. The Titronic Universal is therefore the ideal tool for analytical chemistry, quality control or research laboratories, where precision, flexibility and reliability are daily requirements.
