Hach TL2350: A high-performance, accurate laboratory turbidimeter
The Hach TL2350 turbidimeter is a high-performance laboratory device designed to accurately measure the turbidity of water samples. It is based on a nephelometric measurement method and complies with EPA 180.1, ASTM D7315 and D6855 standards, ensuring full compatibility with national and international regulatory requirements.
This device uses a tungsten filament light source and multiple detectors positioned at different angles to ensure optimal detection of suspended particles. The "Ratio On" mode uses these multiple detectors to minimise optical interference and extend the measurement range up to 10,000 NTU. In "Ratio Off" mode, a single detector positioned at 90° allows for more targeted measurement suitable for low turbidity levels. These two configurations make the TL2350 extremely versatile, capable of adapting to drinking water analysis as well as wastewater or complex industrial processes.
The user interface is based on a large 7-inch colour touchscreen, allowing intuitive navigation between functions. The instrument offers different reading modes: single, continuous or RST (Rapidly Settling Turbidity™) mode, the latter being particularly useful for samples with rapidly changing turbidity. Thanks to the signal averaging function and fine adjustments of the measurement units (NTU, EBC, %T, Absorbance, mg/L), the user can fully customise the measurement experience.
The TL2350 is designed for optimal performance in laboratory conditions: its compact design, weight of 3 kg, CE, KC and RCM certification and IP30 protection rating demonstrate its robustness and compliance with safety standards. It has two USB-A ports for data transfer or use with peripherals such as printers, keyboards or barcode readers. The internal memory can store up to 2,000 records, including readings, checks and calibration data.
The calibration process is easy to perform using the StablCal kits and guided interface, ensuring consistent results. The user is also notified when a new calibration is required. In terms of maintenance, the components are easily accessible, the unit is easy to clean, and the lamp can be replaced quickly, with safety instructions clearly detailed in the documentation.
The TL2350 offers a range of data management options: automatic or manual recording, export in BMP, CSV or XML formats, and direct printing. It integrates seamlessly into laboratory quality management systems thanks to its traceability features (time stamp, operator ID, sample ID, etc.).
