The NCT-200 Tonometer: A High-Quality, Intelligent, and Silent Model

The Shin-Nippon NCT-200 tonometer is designed with user and patient comfort in mind, featuring a monitor with a 30° left swivel that allows the user to assist the patient's position while operating the joystick. Additionally, its 40° vertical tilt offers convenient operation whether in a standing or sitting position.

Equipped with an innovative SPC (Smart Puff Control) system, the NCT-200 incorporates a newly developed algorithm measurement engine that dynamically adjusts air pressure to precisely match the patient's intraocular pressure (IOP). This ensures accurate readings without compromising patient comfort, thanks to its quiet and soft air puff delivery.

The tonometer boasts a smooth and accurate alignment function, facilitating easy positioning for optimal measurement. Once aligned, the automatic air puff measurement commences swiftly, minimizing patient anxiety and discomfort. Moreover, the IOP value is automatically corrected (Corr.) based on the input of central corneal thickness measurement. This correction can be applied either before or after the measurement, ensuring accurate and reliable results.

The Shin-Nippon NCT-200 tonometer prioritizes patient safety and user convenience with its array of innovative features. The safety stopper is a crucial component that prevents the nozzle from accidentally coming into contact with the patient's eye. In the rare instance where the safety stopper is not properly locked in position, an audible alert in the form of a "Beep" sound is triggered, accompanied by a warning message "Too Close" displayed on the monitor. This proactive safety measure helps prevent potential accidents and ensures the well-being of the patient.

Furthermore, the tonometer incorporates capacitive touch sensor buttons that are highly responsive, allowing for smooth operation while keeping the main screen free from fingerprints and other smudges. This feature enhances user experience and maintains clarity during operation.

The ergonomic design extends to the joystick, which is solidly built and ergonomically shaped to ensure intuitive, comfortable, and smooth operation for the user. This design element contributes to ease of use and precision during measurements.

For added hygiene or social distancing purposes, a dedicated breath shield is available as an optional accessory. This shield helps maintain cleanliness and minimizes the risk of cross-contamination between patients, promoting a safe and sanitary testing environment.

Moreover, the tonometer features a smart warning mechanism that displays an asterisk (*) on the screen as well as on the printout to indicate when the measured value may have low reliability. This alert system helps users identify instances where additional scrutiny or verification may be necessary, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the measurement data.
