Topographer CA-200F - Excellent

Brand: Topcon
Categories: Ophtalmology

The Topcon CA-200F topographer is a corneal analyzer that allows for the assessment of the cornea's anterior surface. Equipped with curvature mapping, fluorometry, pupillometry, and Zernike analysis features, it provides a comprehensive analysis of the patient's cornea. Additionally, it offers real-time fluorescein images for contact lens fitting.

Description

The Topcon CA-200F - In-depth Evaluation of the Cornea's Anterior Surface.

With its precise curvature mapping technology based on the Placido method, this device offers high-resolution images of the cornea, generating over 10,000 data points from 24 distinct rings. This allows for a detailed evaluation of the patient's cornea.

This device features several notable characteristics, including fluorometry, which captures real-time fluorescein images of a contact lens on the cornea. This functionality is essential for contact lens fitting, as it allows for monitoring lens movement, tear film distribution beneath the lens, and wetting of the lens's outer surface.

Moreover, the CA-200F offers both static and dynamic pupillometry, providing valuable information on the pupil diameter under different lighting conditions. This feature is particularly useful for simulating contact lens fitting or ablation for laser treatment.

Zernike analysis, comprising 36 polynomials up to the 7th order, provides insights into the optical properties of the cornea's anterior surface. This helps identify optical deficiencies that might disrupt vision, and this analysis serves as the basis for calculating the ablation zone for laser treatment.

The CA-200F is also equipped with a contact lens database, facilitating the automatic selection of the most suitable lens for the patient. Modifications can be made to the lens parameters, ensuring a precise fit. Additionally, a fluorescein image simulation is available to evaluate lens fitting on the cornea.

Regarding toric IOL calculation, the CA-200F features an integrated application to simplify this process, in collaboration with Oculentis. This functionality makes it easy to determine the right toric IOL lens for the patient.

The device offers an intuitive user interface with an 8-inch touchscreen, making it easy to navigate through procedures, image acquisition, and analysis. Furthermore, it includes an automatic best image selection feature, automatic pupil recognition, and Wi-Fi connectivity for easy communication with an external PC.
