The Shimadzu TOC-VCPN is a PC-controlled laboratory analyzer specifically designed for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) measurement in aqueous samples. Using high-temperature catalytic combustion at 680 °C combined with non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) detection, it accurately quantifies Total Carbon (TC), Inorganic Carbon (IC), TOC, Non-Purgeable Organic Carbon (NPOC), and optionally, Total Nitrogen (TN).

This model is ideal for environmental, pharmaceutical, industrial, and academic laboratories aiming to automate carbon analysis while ensuring high reproducibility. The TOC-VCPN offers a wide measurement range, up to 25,000 mg/L for TOC and 3,000 mg/L for IC, making it suitable for both ultra-pure water and highly contaminated samples.

The system features automatic sample injection with adjustable volumes (10 to 150 µL), internal programmable dilution (factor 2 to 50), and automated IC pretreatment through acidification and sparging.
