Memmert TTC256 – Environmental test chamber for temperature and climate testing
The Memmert TTC256 is an environmental test chamber designed to meet the most demanding requirements for climate and thermal simulation. Its temperature range, from -42 °C to +190 °C, offers remarkable flexibility for a wide variety of tests, from intense cold to extreme heat. Thanks to its two class A Pt100 probes mounted in a 4-wire circuit, measurement accuracy and reliability are guaranteed, even in the event of a sensor failure. Thermal uniformity is maintained with a temperature distribution of between ±0.5 K and ±2 K, enabling consistent and reproducible results.
Versatile control technology and programming
The TTC256 incorporates a microprocessor-based electronic controller with a self-diagnostic system, ensuring intuitive operation and continuous monitoring. The digital display shows all essential parameters, including temperature, humidity, fan speed, programme status and weekly settings. Programming is made easy by an integrated timer capable of managing up to 40 ramps, with each segment configurable between 1 minute and 999 hours. The chamber also features a USB port and is compatible with Memmert Celsius software, allowing test profiles to be created, stored and exported, as well as documentation in accordance with GLP requirements.
Robust design and enhanced safety
The internal structure, made entirely of hermetically welded 1.4301 stainless steel, ensures optimum hygiene and high corrosion resistance. The insulated and heated door is equipped with a double lock and four-point adjustment to prevent energy loss and reduce the risk of condensation. The chamber has a ring heating system and cooling provided by a double compressor using R449A refrigerant. In terms of safety, the TTC256 is equipped with a mechanical temperature limiter, protection against temperature overshoots or drops (TWW and ASF) and visual and audible alarms in the event of a problem.
Ergonomics and adaptability to testing requirements
With a net volume of 256 litres and internal dimensions of 640 x 670 x 597 mm, the Memmert TTC256 can accommodate up to six shelves, each with a load capacity of 25 kg. An 80 mm side access port with cap allows for easy integration of test-specific sensors or cables. The unit is mounted on lockable castors for easy movement, while the textured stainless steel exterior and galvanised steel rear ensure robustness and durability. Suitable for industrial and laboratory environments, this chamber can be installed in ambient conditions of 16°C to 28°C, with a maximum humidity of 70% non-condensing.
