The MyLab™Sigma, developed by Esaote, represents is designed to meet the growing need for efficiency, mobility, and versatility in modern medical environments, this system combines a compact format with impressive functionality. It is suited for a wide array of specialties including general radiology, obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology, vascular, musculoskeletal, and emergency care. With its integrated battery and ergonomic design, it is equally at home in mobile units or space-constrained environments.
The MyLab™Sigma features a 15.6-inch swiveling and tilting monitor, a built-in touchscreen, and two integrated probe connectors as standard (expandable to four with an optional cart). This setup allows for maximum flexibility in exam selection and workflow. The system’s boot time of less than 15 seconds from standby and its zero-click automation tools significantly streamline daily operations and reduce user fatigue.
In terms of imaging performance, the MyLab™Sigma integrates advanced technologies such as Full Screen mode, VPan panoramic imaging, enhanced needle visibility for interventional procedures, and MyLibrary, an onboard clinical reference system. For obstetrics and gynecology, it supports 3D/4D imaging with convex or endovaginal probes, AutoNT for nuchal translucency measurement, and complete report generation with graphical output.
In cardiology, the system provides advanced capabilities including zero-click AutoEF, anatomical M-Mode, Stress Echo analysis, XStrain™ 2D strain imaging, Tissue Velocity Imaging (TVI), and sensitive Doppler modes (CW, PW, Power, Color), enabling detailed evaluation of complex cardiac conditions. For vascular imaging, it offers tools like automated intima-media thickness measurement (QIMT) and dedicated vascular reporting.
Built on a Windows® 10 platform, MyLab™Sigma offers extensive connectivity, making it compatible with modern medical IT systems. It supports DICOM protocols (including Query/Retrieve), built-in Wi-Fi, multi-modality archiving, and real-time streaming, allowing seamless image export, PACS integration, remote consultations, and secure data storage.
