Memmert UF160plus – High-performance heating and temperature control
The UF160plus from Memmert is a universal oven specially developed to meet the demanding requirements of scientific research, industry and quality control. Its design is based on decades of experience in temperature control and air management, enabling drying, heating, curing and ageing of materials to be carried out with optimum precision. With its wide temperature range from +20 °C to +300 °C and fine control, it offers complete control of operating parameters for reproducible results, even in long and complex processes.
The unit features a hygienic, easy-to-clean stainless steel interior reinforced with embossed ribs and protected heating elements distributed on four sides for even heat distribution. This design reduces temperature gradients and ensures optimum stability regardless of the load or configuration of the samples in the chamber. The silent turbine fan, adjustable in 10% steps, allows the air flow to be adapted to the specific requirements of each application, ensuring a perfect balance between convection and thermal stability.
The TwinDISPLAY control interface offers intuitive and comprehensive control. The two high-definition TFT screens provide direct access to all essential parameters: temperature, fan speed, air flap position, cycle time and time programming. The AtmoCONTROL software simplifies the creation, management and transfer of programmes via USB or Ethernet, ensuring complete traceability and flexible programming adapted to different experimental protocols. The HeatBALANCE and SetpointWAIT functions optimise heat distribution and ensure that process timing only starts when the target temperature is reached, avoiding any experimental drift.
In terms of safety, the UF160plus incorporates several levels of protection. It has a mechanical temperature limiter, monitoring systems for overheating or under-temperature, and an AutoSAFETY device that automatically adjusts safety thresholds according to operating conditions. A self-diagnostic system detects anomalies, while visual and audible alarms immediately alert the user in the event of a critical deviation. This redundancy ensures sample protection and test reliability, even during continuous operation.
The 161-litre net volume and maximum load capacity of 210 kg allow for great flexibility in sample layout. Up to eight levels can be installed using electropolished stainless steel shelves, each supporting up to 20 kg. The insulated door with compression lock limits heat loss, while the robust design and textured stainless steel coating ensure excellent durability.
