Memmert UF260 – Precision drying and heating for laboratories
The UF260 universal oven from Memmert is a high-performance solution for demanding drying, heating and heat treatment requirements. Designed to meet the high standards of scientific research, industrial laboratories and quality control departments, it combines precision, durability and ease of use. The temperature range, from +20 °C to +300 °C, allows for a wide variety of applications, from simple drying processes to more specific heat treatments. Thanks to its DIN Class A Pt100 temperature sensor and digital PID control system, the UF260 ensures constant and precise temperature control. This thermal control is essential for achieving reliable and reproducible results, regardless of the load or nature of the samples being processed.
Heat distribution is provided by a silent air turbine, adjustable in 10% increments, which guarantees optimum homogeneity throughout the working chamber. The supply of preheated fresh air can be modulated via an electronically adjustable air flap, allowing precise control of heat exchange. This combination of forced air circulation and electronic control ensures uniform processing conditions, which are essential for sensitive applications.
The ControlCOCKPIT control panel with high-definition TFT colour display provides easy access to all parameters: temperature, fan speed, air damper position, programme duration, time zones and activation of the SetpointWAIT function, which ensures that the processing time only starts once the target temperature has been reached. The digital programmer allows time settings from 1 minute to 99 days, adapting to all processing times.
The UF260 has an internal volume of 256 litres, accommodating up to 9 shelf levels with a maximum total load of 300 kg. Each shelf supports up to 20 kg, offering great flexibility of use. The interior chamber, reinforced with special stamping, incorporates a heating system protected on all four sides, ensuring remarkable thermal stability even at maximum load.
In terms of safety, the unit incorporates an electronic overheating protection system, supplemented by a mechanical temperature limiter, in accordance with DIN 12880. In the event of a power failure, the current programme is stored, preventing any loss of data or samples.
For data monitoring and management, the UF260 is compatible with AtmoCONTROL software, allowing records to be read and organised via an Ethernet interface. A USB kit with the software is available as an option. This connectivity facilitates process traceability, which is essential in environments subject to strict quality standards.
