Memmert UF260TS pass-through oven – performance and safety for controlled environments
The Memmert UF260TS is a pass-through oven designed to meet the strict requirements of laboratories, pharmaceutical industries and environments where cross-contamination prevention is paramount. Thanks to its fully insulated stainless steel doors on both sides, it allows samples or loads to be transferred directly from a grey room to a clean room without breaking the cleanliness chain. This configuration significantly reduces intermediate handling and therefore the risk of particulate or microbial contamination.
One of the major advantages of this oven is its precise temperature control. The UF260TS operates in a range from at least 10°C above ambient temperature up to 250°C, with a display resolution of 0.1°C. Equipped with two Pt100 DIN Class A probes in a 4-wire configuration, it ensures continuous monitoring and redundancy in the event of failure. The control system is based on the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, a multifunctional digital PID controller with dual high-definition colour displays, offering intuitive navigation and precise settings.
Thermal control and optimised process control
The UF260TS incorporates several functions to optimise heating processes and ensure reproducible results. The HeatBALANCE function adjusts the distribution of heating power between the upper and lower circuits, while the SetpointWAIT function only starts the timer when the set temperature is reached. Calibration at three user-selectable temperature points is possible, ensuring accuracy in line with regulatory and quality control requirements.
Air circulation is provided by a silent turbine with speed adjustable in 10% steps, ensuring optimum thermal homogeneity. The supply of preheated fresh air is electronically controlled via an adjustable flap, and an exhaust port with shutter is provided for humidity and residual gas control. The unit is compatible with AtmoCONTROL software, allowing cycles to be easily programmed, managed and transferred via Ethernet or USB port.
Hygienic design, robustness and enhanced safety
The UF260TS has a useful volume of 256 litres and is made of electropolished stainless steel with pressed ribs to reinforce the structure and integrated heating elements protected on all four sides. The shelves allow for flexible loading, with a maximum capacity of 300 kg in the chamber and 20 kg per level.
In terms of safety, the appliance has double protection against overheating and underheating, with an independent TWW electronic device, a TB mechanical limiter and an AutoSAFETY system that automatically adjusts the tolerance thresholds. Visual and audible alarms immediately warn of any anomalies, and a self-diagnostic system facilitates preventive maintenance.
