Memmert UF450 – Universal oven for scientific and industrial applications
The Memmert UF450 is a professional universal oven for laboratories, research centres and demanding industrial environments. It is designed to provide precise and stable temperature control to meet a wide range of heat treatment requirements. It is particularly suitable for operations such as drying materials, controlled heating, artificial ageing, hardening or burn-in tests. Thanks to its large stainless steel chamber and controlled air circulation, it guarantees exceptional temperature uniformity throughout its entire usable volume.
The 449-litre inner chamber is made of high-quality stainless steel, which is easy to clean and corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for intensive use. Its construction incorporates a heating system distributed over four sides, preventing temperature gradients and ensuring optimum uniformity. The textured stainless steel exterior ensures robustness and durability, while the lockable castors make it easy to move and install in different working environments.
The temperature control system is based on a digital PID microprocessor, combined with a high-definition TFT colour display. It allows precise temperature adjustment from +20°C to +300°C, with a display accuracy of 0.1°C below 100°C and 0.5°C above. This device also includes the SetpointWAIT function, which ensures that the processing time only starts once the target temperature has been reached. The user can easily programme their thermal cycles using a digital timer ranging from 1 minute to 99 days.
Ventilation is provided by a silent air turbine, adjustable in 10% increments, ensuring uniform and constant air circulation. The intake of preheated fresh air is electronically controlled, while an air outlet with an adjustable flap allows the air to be extracted. This combination ensures efficient air renewal while maintaining thermal stability.
The UF450 has a high-performance safety device including a mechanical TB temperature limiter and an adjustable electronic control, complying with DIN 12880. An integrated self-diagnostic system quickly detects any malfunctions. In the event of a power failure, the programme remains stored so that operation can resume as soon as power is restored.
The UF450 can accommodate up to eight levels of electropolished stainless steel shelves, with a maximum capacity of 30 kg per level and 300 kg in total. It is easy to install and requires little space around the unit, making it suitable for both spacious laboratories and more confined environments.
