Milli-Q® IQ 7000: Precision-Controlled Ultrapure Water for Your Analytical Demands
The Milli-Q® IQ 7000 system is designed to meet the needs of laboratories requiring consistently high-quality ultrapure water. It combines advanced purification efficiency, user-friendly operation, data traceability, and seamless integration into any laboratory environment.
At its core lies a high-performance purification process based on IPAK Meta® and IPAK Quanta® cartridges. These compact cartridges incorporate Jetpore® ion-exchange resin and IQnano™ media with fine beads, significantly enhancing ion exchange kinetics. This allows for a 33% reduction in media volume while removing ions to sub-ppb levels. The process is completed by a mercury-free ech2o® UV lamp, based on xenon excimer technology, emitting at 172 nm for the efficient oxidation of organic contaminants.
The system delivers water with a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ·cm at 25 °C, continuously monitored by a resistivity meter with a cell constant of 0.01 cm⁻¹. Total Oxidizable Carbon (TOC) is measured in real time using the built-in A10® TOC monitor, with levels below 2 ppb when supplied with Elix® Type 2 water.
Water is dispensed precisely and intuitively through the Q-POD® dispenser. A control wheel allows users to adjust flow rate from drop-by-drop to 2 liters per minute. The volumetric dispensing mode ensures unattended container filling, automatically stopping at the set volume. Assisted dispensing allows for easy filling to graduation marks, minimizing cross-contamination risks.
Each dispensing event is automatically logged and can be accessed via QR code or exported via USB. All data are stored in internal memory and can be integrated into any LIMS, facilitating quality management, audits, and cost tracking by user.
The Milli-Q® IQ 7000 is adaptable to all lab configurations—it can be wall-mounted, bench-mounted, or installed under a bench. It supports up to four Q-POD® dispensers, each compatible with an Application-Pak polisher tailored to specific techniques (HPLC, LC-MS, cell culture, PCR, etc.).
Maintenance is simplified with real-time alerts for consumables replacement and step-by-step guidance on the 5-inch Q-POD® touchscreen. In the event of an issue, the system provides clear instructions and can shut down automatically to ensure safety.
