Memmert UN260 – Precise drying and temperature control for laboratories and industry
The Memmert UN260 is a universal oven for drying, heating, ageing, curing and burn-in applications in scientific, industrial and quality assurance environments. Designed for maximum flexibility, it combines precise control, robust construction and operational reliability. The UN260 oven operates in a temperature range from a few degrees above ambient temperature up to 300 °C. Its control system is based on a multifunctional digital PID controller with a high-definition colour TFT display. This allows the user to easily adjust the temperature, air flap position and cycle times. A SetpointWAIT function ensures that the timer only starts once the target temperature has been reached, guaranteeing optimum precision in sensitive protocols.
The internal construction in electropolished stainless steel, reinforced by deep drawing, incorporates heating distributed over four sides, ensuring homogeneous heat distribution. Natural convection promotes a stable and uniform environment without forced air movement, which is particularly suitable for delicate samples. The electronically adjustable air vent allows precise metering of the supply of preheated fresh air, while the air outlet equipped with a damper facilitates control of the exhaust.
In terms of safety, the Memmert UN260 is equipped with double protection against overheating: an adjustable electronic limiter and a mechanical limiter that cuts off the heating approximately 20°C above the nominal temperature. A self-diagnostic system detects and signals any malfunctions.
Its robust design includes a fully insulated stainless steel door with a two-point compression lock, ensuring excellent thermal insulation. The interior is modular with up to nine levels for shelves or trays, each supporting up to 20 kg, for a maximum total load of 300 kg in the chamber.
The UN260 features connectivity for easy operation and traceability. With the AtmoCONTROL software, users can read, manage and organise recorded data via the Ethernet interface or a USB port. Settings, programmes and histories can be saved even in the event of a power failure, ensuring continuity of operations.
