The Memmert UN450 is a universal oven designed to meet the varied needs of laboratories, research centres, quality control departments and industrial environments. Its 449-litre capacity and temperature range from +20°C to +300°C make it a versatile piece of equipment capable of handling a wide range of materials and samples. Thanks to its stainless steel design, the internal chamber is not only corrosion-resistant but also easy to clean, ensuring hygienic and sustainable working conditions. The integration of heating distributed over four sides ensures remarkable thermal uniformity, which is essential for obtaining reliable and reproducible results.
The UN450's control accuracy is based on a digital PID controller with a high-definition TFT colour display, allowing for simple and intuitive parameter setting. The class A Pt100 temperature sensor ensures optimal and stable control, with a control accuracy of up to 0.1 °C below 100 °C and 0.5 °C above. The SetpointWAIT function ensures that the timer only starts once the programmed temperature has been reached, optimising the accuracy of heat treatments. Three calibration values can be freely selected, offering customised adjustment according to experimental requirements or applicable standards.
The ventilation system is based on natural convection, combined with a mixture of fresh air preheated by an electronically adjustable motorised flap. This combination minimises temperature variations while optimising air renewal. Documentation and programme management is facilitated by the AtmoCONTROL software, which allows data to be read, organised and archived via an Ethernet interface. Even in the event of a power failure, the stored programmes are preserved, ensuring a quick resumption of operations.
In terms of safety, the UN450 is equipped with adjustable electronic overheating protection, a mechanical temperature limiter (TB) and a self-diagnostic system for analysing faults. Optimised thermal insulation, a stainless steel door with two-point locking and a robust construction ensure reliable and safe use on a daily basis. The maximum chamber load is 300 kg, with a capacity of 30 kg per shelf, offering great flexibility in sample positioning and handling.
With external dimensions of 1224 x 1247 x 784 mm and lockable castors, the UN450 can be easily integrated into a variety of professional environments. The operating conditions allow for an ambient temperature between +5 °C and +40 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 80% without condensation. Manufactured in Germany and compliant with current safety standards, it is a reliable and durable investment for all applications requiring precise temperature control and a generous workspace.
