The UN450plus from Memmert is a universal oven designed to meet the needs of laboratories, research centres and industry for drying, heating, ageing, curing and thermal testing of various materials. With a generous volume of 449 litres and a temperature range from +20 °C to +300 °C, it offers exceptional flexibility for a wide range of professional applications, from material testing and thermal stability testing to the conditioning and homogenisation of temperature-sensitive products.
Made of robust and hygienic stainless steel, the chamber guarantees quick and easy maintenance while offering excellent corrosion resistance. The interior, reinforced by deep drawing and equipped with an integrated heating system on four sides, ensures even heat distribution. This design optimises energy efficiency while maintaining constant thermal accuracy across the entire working surface, even at maximum load.
The control system is based on the ControlCOCKPIT TwinDISPLAY, featuring two high-definition TFT screens for intuitive and precise control. The user can set the temperature, air flap position and programme duration with precision. The SetpointWAIT device ensures that the timer only starts when the programmed temperature is reached, thus guaranteeing perfect cycle reproducibility. The HeatBALANCE function allows the distribution of heating power between the upper and lower parts of the oven to be adjusted, optimising the processing conditions for a wide range of samples.
Safety is at the heart of the UN450plus design. It incorporates an AutoSAFETY system that continuously monitors temperature deviations and interrupts heating in the event of a critical overshoot. Class A Pt100 sensors ensure reliable measurement, while multiple mechanical and electronic thermal limits protect samples and the appliance. Visual and audible alarms alert the operator in the event of a fault, and a self-diagnostic system facilitates rapid identification of the causes of any malfunctions.
The chamber operates by natural convection with preheated fresh air admitted via an electronically adjustable damper. This fine control of ventilation helps to maintain a stable thermal environment while limiting undesirable variations. The design on lockable castors facilitates installation and movement, even in confined environments. Its solid structure allows a total load of up to 300 kg in the chamber, with a maximum of 30 kg per shelf.
The UN450plus is optimised for use with AtmoCONTROL software, which allows programming, management and transfer of cycles via USB or Ethernet connection. Parameters and programmes are retained even in the event of a power failure, ensuring continuity of critical operations.
