Memmert UN55: the high-precision universal oven for scientific and industrial applications
The Memmert UN55 universal oven embodies precision and technological excellence in the field of temperature control. Designed to deliver consistent performance across a wide range of laboratory applications, it stands out for its high precision and reliability in drying, curing, burn-in of components and ageing of materials. Thanks to its stainless steel chamber and integrated four-sided heating system, it ensures flawless thermal uniformity, which is essential for sensitive processes.
With a net volume of 53 litres, the UN55 is perfectly sized for laboratories with specific requirements and limited workspace. Its SingleDISPLAY digital control system, based on PID technology with a high-definition TFT colour display, allows precise and intuitive control of parameters such as temperature, timing and ventilation. This multilingual control panel ensures quick and easy operation, even for novice users.
The temperature can be set with a resolution of 0.1°C up to 99.9°C, then 0.5°C beyond that, and covers a working range from +20°C to +300°C. Thanks to the integrated Pt100 class A sensor in accordance with DIN standards, measurement and control are extremely accurate. In addition, the SetpointWAIT function ensures that the process time only starts when the set temperature is reached, optimising the reliability of the results.
The oven operates by natural convection with preheated fresh air supplied and electronically regulated via an air vent. This system preserves the integrity of sensitive samples and promotes stable heat distribution. The ventilation system can be connected via an outlet equipped with a restriction valve for better air flow control.
Safety has not been overlooked. The UN55 model incorporates an electronic temperature limitation system, a mechanical TB safety cut-out (protection according to DIN 12880 class 1) and a self-diagnostic fault detection system. In the event of a power failure, the settings are retained, ensuring process continuity upon restart.
Its textured stainless steel design combines robustness, hygiene and aesthetics. The internal chamber is reinforced with embossed ribbing for easy cleaning, and the double-locked compression door provides perfect insulation of the thermal chamber. It can accommodate up to 4 racks for a maximum load of 176 pounds, or 44 pounds per rack.
Connectivity is provided via AtmoCONTROL software (with optional USB key) for control and data export via Ethernet.
