The Huber Unichiller 022 is a circulation chiller designed to meet the thermal requirements of laboratories, research facilities and industrial environments. Thanks to its air-cooled refrigeration system, it offers a reliable and environmentally friendly solution for maintaining constant temperatures in ranges from -10 to +40 °C. Its evaporator, reservoir and housing are made of stainless steel, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance and a long service life, even under intensive use. The circulation pump, made of industrial plastic, ensures a stable flow rate and pressure adapted to user requirements.
At the heart of the Unichiller 022 is its Pilot ONE controller, featuring a 5.7-inch colour touchscreen. This intuitive system allows for smooth navigation between menus, with memorable icons and colour-coded categories. It also offers an integrated technical glossary and multilingual support, facilitating its use in international contexts. USB and Ethernet connectivity allow for easy integration into computer networks, while Spy software provides remote control and data transmission capabilities. The Pilot ONE can be enhanced with E-grade modules, which add features such as adaptive control, temperature ramp programming, and multi-point calibration.
Sustainable and environmentally friendly cooling
The Unichiller 022 uses a CFC- and HCFC-free refrigerant that complies with international environmental standards. Its low global warming potential (GWP) and reduced refrigerant quantity (0.53 kg) make it an environmentally friendly solution. The machine is designed to operate efficiently at ambient temperatures ranging from 5 to 40 °C, with a cooling capacity of 2.2 kW at 15 °C. The noise level of 65 dB(A) allows for use in noise-sensitive environments. Thanks to its compact design (460 x 590 x 743 mm) and net weight of 83 kg, it fits easily into confined workspaces.
The integrated immersion pump offers a maximum flow rate of 29 l/min and a pressure of 1 bar, with a minimum filling capacity of 3.8 litres and an expansion volume of 1.7 litres. Connection is via a G3/4 male connector, ensuring compatibility with standard accessories. The system is protected by an IP20 rating and operates on a 220-240V power supply with a maximum current of 6.5A. It complies with DIN 12876 and EN60034-1 standards, ensuring optimum safety and reliability.
Intuitive user interface and extensive connectivity
The Pilot ONE offers a modern, ergonomic user interface with simplified navigation functions and software wizards for initial configuration. Users can create custom profiles, quickly access their favourite settings and view data in real time thanks to a scalable graphical display. The system supports internal and external Pt100 sensors, with a display resolution of 0.1 K and thermal stability of 0.5 K at -10 °C. Digital connectivity includes USB, RS232 and Ethernet ports, enabling seamless communication with computers and supervisory systems.
