The Beckman Coulter IQ 200 SELECT Urine Cytology Analyzer is an in vitro analysis system designed to automate comprehensive urinalysis profiles, covering everything from chemical profiles of urine dipstick tests to microscopic analysis of urinary sediments. This system offers the capability to be used either independently or integrated with other urine chemistry results from a Laboratory Information System (LIS), providing quantitative or qualitative measurements of all sedimentary elements present in urine, such as cells, cylinders, crystals, and organisms.

Moreover, a skilled operator can define automatic reporting criteria and review samples flagged for review. All decisions related to the instrument's analyte images can be reviewed and modified by a competent operator. The IQ 200 series of automatic urine microscopy systems (iQ series) is designed to replace manual methods or other methods of urinary sediment analysis.

Three urinary chemistry systems can be physically and electronically connected to an iQ series device to form the automated urinalysis workcell of the IQ 200 series. These urinary chemistry systems include the semi-automatic Iris iChem100 system and the automatic urine chemistry system Iris iChem VELOCITY. The IQ 200 workcell is used to automate the complete routine urinalysis profile, including urine dipstick chemistry, relative density, color, clarity, and microscopic analysis. In the IQ 200 workcell, microscopic and chemical results are combined for review, providing a comprehensive and efficient solution for urine analysis.
