The Thermo Scientific Revco UxF60086V ultra-low temperature upright freezer is a state-of-the-art piece of equipment designed to meet the rigorous requirements of modern laboratories. Its mission is to ensure the long-term preservation of sensitive materials, whether biological, clinical or pharmaceutical, in extreme thermal conditions ranging from -50°C to -86°C. The Revco UxF60086V has an internal capacity of 815 litres, which can hold up to 600 standard 2-inch boxes. This generous volume combined with a vertical configuration optimises floor space while facilitating access to samples. The four internal stainless steel shelves are fully adjustable in 25 mm increments, each supporting up to 110 kg, allowing for great organisational flexibility and rock-solid robustness.
At the heart of its thermal performance is a two-stage cascade industrial refrigeration system, comprising two hermetic compressors optimised for extreme cold. This system operates with non-flammable refrigerants, complying with current safety standards. The cold wall evaporator with enhanced heat exchange ensures uniform cold distribution throughout the chamber. Defrosting is entirely manual, avoiding the temperature peaks associated with automatic cycles and thus preserving the integrity of stored samples.
The user interface is controlled by a microprocessor controller with a touch screen. This high-performance system allows precise temperature control, data recording via USB port, and management of high and low temperature alarms. It also includes safety features such as overload protection, an automatic voltage compensation system (buck/boost), and remote alarm terminals, ideal for integration into centralised monitoring systems.
The freezer's design emphasises energy conservation and temperature loss reduction. Insulation is provided by high-R-value vacuum panels and high-density water-blown polyurethane foam, ensuring exceptional heat retention. The door seal is made of high-performance silicone with electric perimeter heating, reducing frost formation while ensuring a tight seal.
The exterior structure is robust and mounted on multi-directional castors for easy movement and installation. The unit is designed for indoor use only, in a non-corrosive, non-flammable, well-ventilated environment at an ambient temperature between 15°C and 32°C.
The Revco UxF60086V can be equipped with additional options such as a liquid nitrogen (LN2) or CO₂ backup system, a controlled HID locking system, a graphic temperature recorder, or SMS notifications.
