V-630 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer – A versatile instrument for modern laboratories
The JASCO V-630 spectrophotometer is designed to meet the UV-Vis analysis needs of laboratories, whether for quality control, research or routine measurements. Its compact design (441 x 468 x 216 mm) allows for easy integration on crowded benchtops, while maintaining remarkable spectroscopic performance. Featuring a dual-beam optical system with a 1200 lines/mm concave monochromator in a modified Rowland mount, it covers a wavelength range of 190 to 1100 nm thanks to its two light sources: deuterium lamp (190–350 nm) and halogen lamp ( 330–1100 nm).
Intuitive interface and total control
The V-630 offers two possible control interfaces: the iRM-700 smart module with colour touch screen, and Spectra Manager™ II software, a powerful and versatile platform. These interfaces allow complete control of the instrument and data processing, including zooming, plotting, derivative calculation, arithmetic operations, smoothing and spectrum overlay. Spectra Manager CFR software, compliant with 21 CFR Part 11, is also available as an option for regulated environments.
Performance, reliability and integrated validation
The V-630 offers exceptional baseline stability (±0.0004 Abs/h at 250 nm) and high photometric accuracy (±0.002 Abs from 0 to 0.5 Abs). It can scan at speeds of up to 8000 nm/min without wavelength tracking error, with a fixed spectral bandwidth of 1.5 nm. For laboratories subject to GMP/GLP standards, a validation routine is integrated to ensure measurement compliance and reliability. In addition, a wide range of accessories is available to adapt the instrument to specific applications, including cell holders, flow cells, temperature controllers and memory cards for automatic data storage.
