Memmert VO500 Vacuum Oven: Performance and Precision for Your Drying Applications
The Memmert VO500 vacuum oven is specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of vacuum drying. It is suitable for applications in the food industry, cosmetics, watchmaking, microelectronics, and the preservation of sensitive documents. With a 101-liter chamber, the VO500 enables gentle drying with minimal heat loss, thanks to direct thermal conduction via heated aluminum shelves (thermo-shelves).
Each shelf is equipped with a Pt100 sensor (4-wire technology), ensuring precise, stable, and localized temperature regulation. The oven operates within a temperature range from +5 °C above ambient up to +200 °C. A fuzzy logic microprocessor controller provides adaptive regulation based on the load, ensuring uniform drying regardless of the material type placed in the chamber.
The electronic vacuum control (from 5 to 1100 mbar) with rapid ventilation enables efficient vacuum cycles. In the event of a power failure, the oven automatically resumes operation with the previously saved settings. The digital display allows for full control of all parameters, including temperature, pressure, time, ramps, and scheduling. Up to 40 individual drying profiles can be programmed using the MEMoryCard XL.
In terms of safety, the VO500 is equipped with multiple independent thermal protections per shelf (MLOP system), mechanical temperature limiters (TB), an AutoSAFETY system with alarm and automatic shutoff, and an integrated self-diagnostic function.
The interior chamber is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel (1.4404), with removable interior walls for easy cleaning. The standard thermo-shelf is made of aluminum (3.3547 ASTM B209). The oven is supplied with a calibration certificate at +160 °C under 20 mbar.
With its USB connectivity and Memmert's "Celsius"software, data tracking complies with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Robust, high-performance, and precise, the VO500 integrates seamlessly into any research, quality control, or production environment requiring controlled vacuum drying.
