Vapodest 45s distillation system: performance and reliability for certified laboratories
The Vapodest 45s is a water vapour distillation system developed by C. Gerhardt to meet the needs of certified laboratories. This model stands out for its ability to handle complex analytical tasks thanks to advanced programming and an intuitive interface. It can store and recall up to 20 programmes, offering maximum flexibility for different types of samples and analysis methods.
The system is designed to work with an external titrator, transforming the unit into a complete analysis solution. This configuration is ideal for laboratories with a high sample throughput and requiring advanced automation. The automatic addition of reagents such as boric acid (H₃BO₃), water (H₂O) and soda (NaOH) is fully programmable, as are the reaction time, distillation time and steam power (adjustable between 30% and 100%).
Safety is at the heart of the Vapodest 45s design. The system only starts distillation if the tube is correctly inserted and the safety door is closed. In the event of a malfunction, the analysis is immediately stopped or interrupted. Automatic suction of sample residues and their transfer to a dedicated container ensure clean and safe handling.
A user-friendly interface and multifunction display
The Vapodest 45s is equipped with a multifunctional alphanumeric display that clearly shows all programme steps and error messages. This interface makes it easy to programme and monitor the analysis, even for novice users. The language can be selected, making the device accessible to a wide range of international users.
The device can be operated via an operator button or, in the case of the model with a titrator, via external control software. This dual operating option allows adaptation to laboratory preferences and infrastructure.
Resource optimisation and compatibility with Gerhardt accessories
The Vapodest 45s is compatible with Kjeldatherm digestion tubes, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows. An optional set of tanks with automatic level sensors is available, enabling efficient reagent management and reducing interruptions due to refilling.
This system is designed to save resources: in standby mode, the steam supply is maintained, ensuring immediate availability while reducing energy consumption. The cooling water supply is also automatically shut off in standby mode, contributing to responsible use of resources.
