VD 53 Vacuum Oven

The BINDER VD 53 is a high-end vacuum chamber designed for fast and uniform drying of sensitive materials, especially with non-flammable solvents. Thanks to its patented heat-conducting shelf technology and APT.line™ preheating chamber, it guarantees uniform heat distribution. Available in two versions (230 V and 120 V), it offers maximum safety, an intuitive interface and compatibility with suitable vacuum modules and pumps. Ideal for demanding laboratories in electronics, pharmaceuticals, plastics and semiconductors.

Description

BINDER VD 53 – The laboratory vacuum chamber for controlled, fast and safe drying

The BINDER VD 53 is a high-performance vacuum oven designed for laboratories seeking gentle, homogeneous and contamination-free drying, even for the most sensitive samples. Specially adapted for non-flammable solvents, this oven combines safety, thermal precision, ergonomics and modularity, making it an essential solution in the pharmaceutical, fine chemical, academic research, plastics and electronics industries.

Equipped with APT.line™ technology, the VD 53 ensures constant heat distribution throughout the chamber, preventing unwanted temperature variations that could compromise drying quality. The key to this performance is the patented system of thermoconductive expansion shelves, designed for direct and rapid heat transfer to the sample, ensuring reproducible results even over extended cycles.

The interior, with a useful volume of 53 litres, is designed for easy cleaning and handling. Up to five shelves can be installed, allowing for great flexibility depending on the volume or type of products to be processed. Thanks to the inert gas connection, substances sensitive to oxidation can be protected by purging the chamber with nitrogen or another neutral gas.

Two versions are available, VD053-230V (for Europe and most international markets) and VD053UL-120V (compliant with North American standards), each with the same mechanical and thermal performance, while adapting to local standard voltages.

The user interface is intuitive, with real-time or segmented programmes, a clear digital display and RS 422 connectivity for integration into data management systems. Two relay outputs enable control or synchronisation with other laboratory equipment.

When it comes to safety, BINDER makes no compromises: toughened safety glass, shock-proof spring mounting, visual alarms, and a DIN 12880 class 2 thermal safety device make the VD 53 perfectly suited for GMP-accredited laboratories or regulated environments.

Finally, a wide range of accessories and add-on modules is available: ATEX vacuum pumps, complete modules, measurement and calibration solutions, APT-COM™ software for traceability and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, and IQ/OQ/PQ services for complete validation.

The BINDER VD 53 is therefore a comprehensive, versatile and scalable tool that meets all modern requirements for controlled vacuum drying.
