Description

GE Healthcare's Venue™ 50: The power of mobile ultrasound for clinical accuracy

Designed to meet the growing needs of community healthcare, the Venue™ 50 from GE Healthcare is a portable, intuitive and high-performance imaging solution. This latest-generation ultrasound system integrates cutting-edge technology in a tablet format, offering great flexibility of use without compromising image quality. With its quick start-up and ergonomic touchscreen interface, the Venue™ 50 can be used immediately, which is ideal in situations where every second counts, such as in emergency rooms, operating theatres or at the patient's bedside.

Designed for intensive and varied use, the Venue™ 50 is suitable for a wide range of specialities, including anaesthesia, musculoskeletal, vascular, obstetrics, intensive care and interventional procedures. Its high-resolution 12.1-inch screen, combined with needle recognition features, ensures clear and accurate visualisation of anatomical structures and medical tools, even in challenging conditions. Automatic tissue optimisation (ATO), CrossXBeam™ technology and pinch zoom further enhance this imaging quality, while allowing extensive customisation to suit clinical needs.

One of the great advantages of the Venue™ 50 is its portability. Lightweight (only 4 kg with the probe), it can be used alone or mounted on a mobile docking cart or tabletop workstation. This flexible design allows the system to be easily moved between departments while maintaining optimal ergonomics and hygiene: the flat, borderless screen can be disinfected with standard medical solutions.

In terms of connectivity, the Venue™ 50 offers powerful options for dataprocessing, archiving and transfer: DICOM™ support, USB ports, removable SD card, Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Its operating system enables fast archiving in JPEG or MPEG4 format, direct access to patient images and smooth management of CINE loops. All of these features are designed to improve collaboration between practitioners and speed up diagnostic decision-making.

The Venue™ 50 is compatible with a wide range of transducers (linear, convex, sector), all designed to provide clear and accurate images in various clinical applications. Its system can be enhanced with optional software modules such as the obstetrics package or the ophthalmic module. The multilingual user interface and customisable anatomical presets ensure a smooth and consistent experience for users around the world.
