Breas Vivo 30 – Precision non-invasive ventilation for the hospital-to-home transition
The Breas Vivo 30 is a positive pressure ventilator designed to meet the growing demands of respiratory care in the home and hospital settings. Compact, quiet and intuitive, it provides comfortable, effective and safe non-invasive ventilation. It is intended for adult and paediatric patients requiring medium- or long-term respiratory support and facilitates a smooth transition from hospital to home.
The Vivo 30 features three essential ventilation modes: PSV (Pressure Support Ventilation), PCV (Pressure Control Ventilation) and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). This variety allows the therapy to be adapted to a wide range of chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, hypoventilation syndromes and neuromuscular disorders. Two modes of use are available (Clinical or Home), for greater customisation according to the care context.
The eSync™ technology integrated into the Vivo 30 enables ultra-responsive synchronisation with the patient's spontaneous breathing. Thanks to adjustable inspiratory and expiratory triggering, this feature reduces breathing effort, improves comfort and reduces synchronisation interruptions. It is particularly useful for patients with partial or fluctuating spontaneous ventilation.
The parameters can be adjusted precisely and over a wide range: IPAP from 4 to 30 cmH₂O, EPAP from 2 to 20 cmH₂O, inspiratory time from 0.3 to 5 seconds, ramp function from 10 to 60 minutes, configurable minimum and maximum inspiratory time, adjustable trigger sensitivity, etc. These options allow for fine-tuned care tailored to the patient's changing needs.
Ease of use is at the heart of the Vivo 30's design. Its large backlit screen, illuminated buttons and intuitive interface make it easy to use, even for non-specialists. This continuity of interface across the entire Vivo range is a major advantage for caregiver training and home monitoring. The noise level of less than 30 dB(A) contributes to a peaceful atmosphere, conducive to patient rest.
The integrated heated humidifier (optional) is controlled directly from the device, simplifying the respiratory circuit and increasing patient comfort by limiting mucosal dryness. The Vivo 30 is also equipped with internal memory for storing treatment data, with the option of exporting via flash card for remote monitoring or analysis by healthcare professionals.
In terms of safety, the ventilator is equipped with a comprehensive set of alarms: high or low pressure, insufficient volume, excessive leaks, mains or battery power failure, internal malfunction, etc. These alarms ensure continuous monitoring of ventilation, even in the absence of a caregiver.
With its sleek Scandinavian design, small footprint and portability, the Vivo 30 fits seamlessly into both home and hospital environments. It is compatible with external power sources (12V/24V DC), making it ideal for mobile use or in areas where power supply is unreliable.
The Breas Vivo 30 is a reliable, customisable, non-invasive ventilation solution designed for comfort. It is an excellent choice for healthcare facilities, home care settings or patients undergoing long-term self-treatment. With the Vivo 30, Breas reaffirms its commitment to providing high-performance, intuitive and humane respiratory technologies.
