Ambia warming ramp: a precise and versatile device for neonatal care
Mediprema's Ambia warming ramps are designed to provide immediate, effective and safe thermal care for newborns in demanding clinical settings. This series includes several models to suit different care configurations: mobile stand, cabinet (right or left version) or wall-mounted. This modularity allows for seamless integration into a variety of hospital environments, while ensuring the stability, ergonomics and accessibility required by healthcare professionals.
Each model in the Ambia series is equipped with a powerful 600 W quartz radiant heater, ensuring a temperature rise in just 10 minutes. Thanks to precise, customisable temperature control, the warmers offer a choice of different heating modes to suit clinical needs: Air mode replicates the logic of closed incubators, taking environmental variations into account; Skin mode regulates the temperature of the infant's skin directly; and Tenderness mode is designed for skin-to-skin sessions. A non-heating maintenance mode also allows thermal monitoring to continue without active warming.
The LCD screen control interface provides clear and intuitive data visualisation. Real-time temperature curves enhance continuous monitoring, while the audible and visual alarm management system, organised into three levels of urgency, ensures medical responsiveness to any parameter deviations. Integrated LED lighting in the hood improves the ambient lighting in the care area without disturbing the infant's comfort.
To ensure safe and accurate use, the minimum distance between the heated hood and the newborn must be 780 mm. An APGAR timer is integrated, with audible signals at 1, 3, 5 and 10 minutes. Optionally, an oxygen ( O₂) analysis probe and a peripheral temperature probe can be added. The system can also incorporate a repositionable skin sensor for continuous monitoring.
