WILDER lacrimal dilator β Model with highly striated tip for maximum stability
The WILDER from Frimed is a manual ophthalmic dilator specifically designed for use in cases of more rigid lacrimal ducts or those that are resistant to penetration. It is used in procedures such as probing, unblocking or lacrimal irrigation when the practitioner needs firmer support in advancing the instrument. This model is easily identifiable in the WILDER range thanks to its striated conical tip.
The pronounced striations on the operating area provide optimised adhesion to the internal tissues of the canal, limiting the risk of accidental slippage and providing total control during progression. This feature clearly distinguishes it from other models with a smooth or moderately striated tip. This makes it the most aggressive option in the series, reserved for cases where controlled traction is essential.
The instrument handle is fully striated, as on other models in the range, ensuring excellent grip. This dual texturing β on both the handle and the insertable shaft β ensures maximum control at every stage of the procedure.
The WILDER dilator can be integrated into a sequence of graduated dilators, but is also perfectly suited for use on its own in more complex cases. Its design makes it the tool of choice for experienced practitioners faced with particularly narrow, fibrous or unresponsive canals.
