A robust and stable 28 cm WINTER forceps for demanding gynaecological extractions
The WINTER 28 cm model from Frimed is an instrument designed to assist professionals during obstetric procedures requiring a firmer grip without compromising tissue safety. It is part of the WINTER forceps family used in placental extractions, post-abortion procedures or for the management of intrauterine residues.
This version is distinguished by its wide, rounded oval jaws. Their surface is completely smooth, with no teeth or internal ridges, ensuring atraumatic handling, even on sensitive tissue. However, their increased width and curved shape provide a larger contact surface, allowing larger or denser fragments to be grasped with greater stability.
The symmetrical and smooth shape of the jaws allows easy insertion into the uterine cavity, while ensuring a good grip on the tissue without excessive crushing. This model is therefore recommended when extraction requires a slightly firmer grip, while avoiding more aggressive instruments such as those with notches or teeth.
Its length of 28 cm ensures sufficient reach for deep cavities while maintaining excellent manoeuvrability. The stainless steel used is strong, durable and fully autoclavable.
