Peak X-8200 series: a complete range of UV-Visible spectrophotometers for high-precision analysis
The Peak X-8200 series includes several models of dual-beam UV-Visible spectrophotometers designed to meet the needs of the most demanding laboratories in terms of analytical precision, ease of use and data management. With its sophisticated electronic architecture, rigorously calibrated optics and a range of features designed for common tests, this series is a reliable solution for biology laboratories, chemical research, industrial quality control and higher education.
All models in the series share a common technological core. They are equipped with a 1200 lines per millimetre holographic grating optical system, coupled with an easily replaceable socket-type xenon light source, ensuring optimal stability over several years. The spectral range covered extends from 190 to 1100 nanometres, with an accuracy of ± 0.6 nm and excellent repeatability. The silicon detectors ensure reliable sensitivity and very low measurement drift over time. The photometric performance, with a range of up to 200%T or 3.0 A, allows for a wide variety of both qualitative and quantitative tests.
Data processing is controlled by a 120 MHz Cortex_M3 processor, ensuring smooth responsiveness and internal storage capacity of up to 5,000 results and 500 spectral curves. The models are equipped with a 7-inch colour TFT screen, which allows real-time viewing of absorbance curves, transmittance analyses and reaction kinetics. Some models feature a capacitive touch screen for even more intuitive navigation, while others retain robust and responsive silicone buttons.
Connectivity is another advantage of this series: each device can be connected directly to a printer or computer via USB or RS232. The files generated can be exported in Excel, text or image formats and viewed without proprietary software. This autonomy is particularly useful for laboratories that want to quickly integrate data into their management system without relying on complex IT configurations.
In addition to the classic absorbance and transmittance measurement functions, the X-8200 series offers a range of modes such as wavelength scanning, multi-wavelength measurements for the same solution, kinetic analysis for reaction monitoring, and DNA/RNA and protein quantification based on specific absorbance ratios. The interface also allows customised standard curves to be established with up to fifteen points, according to different regression models.
Designed to evolve with user needs, the X-8200 series is compatible with a wide range of accessories for modifying the optical path, increasing the number of cuvettes, or adapting the holders to various sample types, including films and tubes. Regardless of the configuration chosen, users benefit from a stable environment, great operational flexibility and reliable results. This series is designed for those who require reproducible measurements, simple operation and smooth adaptation to the varied demands of everyday analysis.
