The PEDS 600 Single Detector DR System is a cutting-edge imaging solution tailored for orthopedic and surgical applications, providing a comprehensive suite of features designed to enhance diagnostic capabilities and streamline workflow. At the heart of the PEDS 600 is the ProWing EDE universal X-ray unit, which offers a broad range of X-ray examinations in diagnostic human medicine. This unit is designed for stationary use in medical settings, providing stability and precision for high-quality imaging.

The ProWing EDE stands out with its counterbalanced cross arm, which supports both the image receptor and the tube carriage. This arm can be adjusted vertically, swiveled around its central axis, and allows for precise positioning of the source-to-image distance (SID) through simple cross-shifting of the image receptor and tube carriage. Electromagnetic brakes secure these positions, ensuring stable and reproducible imaging setups. An integrated angle scale on the cross arm further aids in accurate positioning.

The system is pre-configured for mounting both an X-ray tube and an image receptor, with provisions for various detector housings and exchangeable grids. It accommodates a broad range of X-ray tube assemblies and image receptors, including a Bucky with a flat panel. The design ensures all control elements are easily accessible, enhancing usability and operational efficiency.

The X-Ray Tube VR 1400 assembly is a high-performance component of the PEDS 600 system. It features a double focus rotating anode X-ray tube with a rhenium-tungsten-molybdenum anode. With focal spots of 0.6 mm and 1.2 mm, and a maximum output of 150 kV, the tube is capable of delivering high-resolution images with excellent detail. The collimator is manual, equipped with a light centering device and an integrated filtering disc that offers four selectable positions for optimal imaging.

To ensure accurate dose measurement and control, the system includes a KermaX-plus ET dose area product measuring system. This system features a transparent ionization chamber, an adapter with accessory rails, and a power supply with a 24-meter interface cable, allowing for precise dose monitoring during examinations.

The PEDS 600 also incorporates a comprehensive detector assembly, which includes a DR-Bucky for flat panel detectors and the RAPIXX 4343M detector. Depending on the chosen detector, scintillator materials such as CsI or DRZ+ are used, providing high-quality imaging capabilities. The detector assembly includes removable grids with different SID options and a three-field ionization chamber for accurate dose measurement.

The CONAXX acquisition module is a significant component of the PEDS 600 system, providing advanced image processing and management capabilities. It features a touch-screen interface with multiple language options, a comprehensive patient database, and the ability to create and manage imaging jobs efficiently. The system supports automatic and manual image processing, including cropping, annotations, and real-time previews. DICOM file creation and image export in various formats are supported, ensuring compatibility with PACS systems.

The PROVARIO HF 50 X-ray generator, another integral part of the PEDS 600 system, delivers 50 kW of power and supports a range of exposure settings. It features automatic exposure control (AEC), anatomical programmed radiography (APR), and an integrated high-tension transformer. The generator is designed for ease of maintenance, with a service-PC connection for diagnostics and fault recording.
