YC-200 S plus: YAG/SLT laser technology for ophthalmic precision
The YC-200 S plus is a latest-generation ophthalmic laser system developed by NIDEK, integrating YAG and SLT technologies in a single compact, high-performance platform. This device is specially designed for anterior segment treatments, including posterior capsulotomy, peripheral iridotomy and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for open-angle glaucoma .
With a plasma threshold of 1.6 mJ under ambient conditions, the YC-200 S plus enables robust treatments with reduced energy, minimising side effects and preserving ocular tissue. The 8 μm beam profile ensures targeted and effective photodisruption, even in complex cases.
The SLT mode of the YC-200 S plus is optimised for reduced energy density on the cornea, thanks to a cone angle of 5.5°, reducing the risk of damage during repeated treatments. The SLT-NAVI system guides the surgeon through the procedure with an intuitive display of the number of impacts and treatment progress.
The optics of the YC-200 S plus offer superior resolution and contrast, with extended depth of field for clear visualisation of ocular structures. LED lighting provides natural, bright vision, reducing aberrations. The 360° rotating targeting beam avoids corneal opacities and achieves optimal focus.
The motorised joystick with integrated S-switch allows treatment parameters to be changed without leaving the eyepieces, improving surgeon comfort. The optimised working distance facilitates contact lens handling and reduces fatigue during prolonged procedures.
The control box with colour touch screen and SD card allows for quick configuration, software updates and recording of treatment parameters. The graphical interface simplifies navigation and adjustment of settings.
In addition to YAG and SLT modes, the YC-200 S plus can be combined with a retinal photocoagulation laser (GYC-500), expanding its capabilities for posterior segment treatments.
