WB-4MS – Thermostatic water bath with magnetic stirring: precision and homogeneity for your laboratory protocols
The WB-4MS from Biosan is a water bath that combines thermal performance and magnetic stirring to ensure perfectly controlled experimental conditions. It is specifically designed for research environments where temperature accuracy is critical, such as biology, chemistry, pharmacy and medical research laboratories. This device maintains a stable water temperature from +25°C to +100°C with exceptional resolution and uniformity, even at 37°C, thanks to active magnetic stirring control.
One of the WB-4MS's strengths is its ability to homogenise the temperature very efficiently within the bath thanks to a magnetic stirring element specially designed to stir only distilled water, without interacting directly with the samples. This prevents any disturbance to the samples while ensuring uniform heat distribution, which is essential for many temperature-sensitive experiments.
This water bath offers fine temperature control with a stability of ±0.1°C and a display accuracy of one tenth of a degree. It features a user-friendly LCD display that shows the set parameters and measured values in real time. The user can adjust the temperature, operating time (up to 96 hours continuously) and stirring speed (from 250 to 1000 rpm) via an ergonomic control panel, ensuring great flexibility of use.
The WB-4MS is made from robust and durable materials, including a stainless steel chamber that is resistant to chemicals commonly used in laboratories. It has a useful volume of 4 litres and allows the integration of test tube holders, making the device adaptable to different types of containers and sample volumes.
Designed with safety in mind, the WB-4MS is equipped with protections against overheating and improper use, including automatic shut-off if the temperature exceeds critical thresholds without sufficient water present. It complies with European standards for electrical safety, EMC and RoHS.
Compact (340 x 270 x 250 mm) and lightweight (3.4 kg), the WB-4MS fits easily into laboratories, including confined environments such as cold rooms or incubators (excluding CO₂). It is designed to operate in a wide range of environmental conditions, with a maximum relative humidity of 80% at 31°C.
